Adrian Bury – Rowlandson | Avalon Press, 1949

A fascinating study of the prolific artist Rowlandson, whose work captured people, places, and everyday life with humor and character. This edition is bound in olive green cloth and includes numerous illustrations showcasing Rowlandson’s wit and observational skill.

There is a watermark across the top of both front and back covers, which does not affect the interior pages. The front cover has a small cup mark and a handwritten salutation dated 1953. Minor age staining is present on the front flyleaves. Despite these imperfections, this remains a highly interesting and engaging volume.

Condition: Fair; priced accordingly.
